Sugar Plum Speech was created by Jessica Gibbons, M.A., CCC-SLP in 2012.
During my time working with young children with impairments, I got to know a great number of families, and a lot of them were concerned that their child needed more speech or more intervention than what they were receiving. At the time, there were not a lot of options for these families. Sugar Plum Speech was started to help those children who need help in addition to the support they receive through the school system or in Early Intervention.
Jessica Gibbons has a Bachelor’s degree in Education, with an Early Childhood endorsement as well as a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She has a license to practice in Pennsylvania and is certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. She has been living and working in the Poconos since 2007.
Our staff
Sugar Plum Speech hires therapists who are licensed with the state of Pennsylvania. They have extensive experience with a variety of disorders and conditions and are willing to coordinate and collaborate with other therapists.
